TESOL specialisation for the Master of Education Extension The Master of Education Extension (TESOL) provides students with an in-depth understanding of areas such as second language teaching methodology, teaching-oriented research, literacy, oral communication, language assessment, pronunciation pedagogy, pedagogical grammar, and other areas of interest in TESOL.

Structure

The Master of Education Extension (TESOL) requires the successful completion of 96 credit points, including:
a. 24 credit points of foundational core subjects, which must be completed within the first 36 credit points of study;
b. 54 credit points of core TESOL subjects. EDGT991 must be completed in the final session of study; and
c. 18 credit points of elective subjects selected from the Master of Education Elective Schedule..
Students must not complete more than 24 credit points of 800 level subjects.
