The Graduate Certificate of Applied Finance offers a pathway to the Master of Applied Finance. It will also appeal to those students who want postgraduate level learning in finance as a stand-alone award.

Course structure

The Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance requires the successful completion of 24 credit points as specified below.

Learning outcomes

Course Learning Outcomes are statements of learning achievement that are expressed in terms of what the learner is expected to know, understand and be able to do upon completion of the course. Students graduating from this course will be able to:

Demonstrate technical, theoretical and industry knowledge of local and international finance.
2.
Critically apply technical, theoretical and industry knowledge and skills to propose solutions to routine and/ or emerging problems in finance.
3.
Exercise judgement to analyse problems in diverse contexts using economic, finance and institutional perspectives.
4.
Communicate in oral and written forms with relevant stakeholders.
5.
Collaborate with others in order to achieve outputs relevant to finance.
