There are opportunities for scholarships from corporate partners, plus summer scholarships and undergraduate research projects with academic staff, access to programs of the Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute (AMSI) and inter-university courses via our Access Grid Room.
Students may complete the Bachelor of Mathematics and Finance (Honours) degree either with no declared major or with a declared major. The available majors are:
Financial PlanningQuantitative Corporate Finance and InvestmentsQuantitative and Computational Trading

Course structure
To qualify for award of the degree of Bachelor of Mathematics and Finance (Honours), students complete 192 credit points and satisfy all course requirements for the degree outlined in the course structure below.
a) 132 credit points of Course core subjects common across all options of the Bachelor of Mathematics and Finance (Honours); and
b) If a major is declared, the remaining 60 credit points are prescribed within the selected majors course structure; or
c) If no major is declared, the remaining 60 credit points are outlined in the course structure below.
d) No more than 66 credit points at 100-level.
Students should consult with the Academic Program Director to help in planning out their program of study, in particular when choosing electives.
Please ensure you follow the course structure for the program you choose noting that the no major and major options have different requirements as outlined below.
