Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1.
Identify, analyse and apply basic principles of effective drafting, particularly the value of plain language and clarity of expression;
2.
Analyse the characteristics and skills of the primary methods of dispute management and select those methods most appropriate to the resolution of various disputes;
3.
Develop theoretical and technical knowledge of negotiation principles and techniques, and apply skills in planning and conducting a mediation;
4.
Demonstrate competence in exercise of court etiquette and advocacy skills.
