Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

Identify the major steps involved in the overall process of acquiring human resources.

Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the recruitment and selection processes.

Identify and assess a range of different measurement issues relating to recruitment and selection.

Critically evaluate different human resource selection techniques as predictors of job performance.

Demonstrate practical skills in the design and application of human resource acquisition tools.

Explain the relationship between recruitment and selection processes and the principles of EEO and diversity management in the Australian context.
