Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1.
Demonstrate advanced analysis skills and an ability to effectively conduct preliminary research on a topic of interest in a chosen field of study.
2.
Perform preliminary work to extend this topic in an area that is relevant to their respective research area of interest.
3.
Show a high level ability to communicate in writing by producing a literature review, project proposal and final report on the topic relevant to their respective research area of interest.
4.
Employ high level oral communication skills through the delivery of a seminar presentation speaking to a knowledgeable, but non-specialist, audience.
