Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

Develop analysis skills for basic power electronics circuits.
2.
Analyse DC-DC, DC-AC, and AC-DC power conversion circuits and describe their industrial applications.
3.
Select appropriate component values and devices for these circuits.
4.
Analyse dynamic models of DC and AC motors.
5.
Design and analyse the important blocks in closed loop motor control systems.
6.
Demonstrate appropriate practical and problem solving skills.
