Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1.
Expose the student to an industrial/professional environment in order to appreciate the various activities associated with engineering in practice.
2.
Allow the student to observe and undertake tasks in practical aspects of investigations, design and construction of engineering works as a complement to theoretical studies.
3.
Instil confidence in the student to take up positions that require responsibility, motivation, decision making and communication with other people in the work.
4.
Satisfy requirements for the degree by professional bodies, such as Engineers Australia.
