Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

Summarise the main challenges in representing and sharing knowledge.
2.
Identify and evaluate the organisational and technical issues associated with information and knowledge engineering and management and propose solutions to those issues for specific contexts.
3.
Assess and address heterogeneity challenges in dealing with distributed knowledge sources.
4.
Evaluate and select knowledge engineering approaches appropriate to particular business problems.
5.
Evaluate knowledge and content management technologies to manage, design or develop web-based solutions.
