describe and explain the origins and philosophical bases of a range of approaches to development and refinement of systems development methodologies.

use the basic tools and techniques employed across a range of system development methodologies.

assess the needs of different systems development methodologies.

assess the needs of different systems development projects and select an appropriate systems development methodology for those projects

describe and explain frameworks which may be used to assess and compare different systems development methodologies

describe and explain the similarities and differences between various system development methodologies.
