On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

Discuss and evaluate the importance of consumer protection and product liability laws in theory and as they operate in practice;

Assess the impact of consumer protection law and the general consumer movement on wider economic, social and moral issues;

Identify areas that warrant further investigations and the problems that can be encountered in the area of consumer protection;

Demonstrate an understanding of the legal issues involved in consumer protection and product liability;

Apply the law to identify, analyse and solve problems relating to the protection of consumers.
