Subject description

Introduction to primary processes: raw materials and materials preparation of metals; mineral processing and processing of metal oxides. Study of metallurgical processes including iron and steelmaking, production of copper and aluminium. Introduction to oxide polymerisation processes. The application of thermodynamics and kinetics to processing. Sustainability of materials processing.
