Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

Explain the principles of operation of the main types of electrical machines used in industry.

Explain the principles of operation of the main types of solid-state power electronic controllers used in industry.
3.
Explain the principles of operation of machines in industrial systems.
4.
Predict the performance of machines in industrial systems.
5.
Wire up power circuits safely and correctly and make measurements.
6.
Demonstrate team work skills while completing the experiments.
7.
Demonstrate appropriate laboratory skills.
