On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

Understand the data requirements for financial modelling and decision making.

Have a working knowledge of the basic tools for valuation of projects.

Have a working knowledge of the identification of cost streams to the required level of accuracy for financial planning and project evaluation.

Have a working knowledge of basic financial modelling techniques for typical engineered asset management situations.

Be able to put together a financial case utilising the assistance of a management accountant as appropriate.
