On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

Critically examine current literature around inclusion of children with disabilities
2.
Adopt a collaborative approach to working with families within an ecological framework
3.
Identify young children with a broad range of additional needs that affect their learning and development, while recognising the limitations of educators, and the necessity of collegial relationships across a multidisciplinary field
4.
Develop an awareness of the importance of an holistic approach to inclusion of children with disabilities, including skills, knowledge, strategies and approaches
5.
Recognise the importance of advocating for children with disabilities and their families, and develop skills to promote inclusion with the wider community
