This capstone music subject allows students to complete a sustained creative project in any area of music or digital audio production that encapsulates the creative, technical and conceptual knowledge acquired throughout their program of study. In consultation with the lecturer/supervisor, students will devise their own creative project, which draws on the creative and technical skills acquired either through the music studio stream or in the audio production stream, or on some combination of the two, supported by a critical, reflective framework that engages with current music debates and identifies their position as a contemporary musician, sound or audiovisual artist. This subject is the culmination of the Music program, and requires students to draw upon the skills they have gained throughout the BCA, as well as contributing to the development of their peers work. The outcomes will be presented in a public concert or exhibition environment as appropriate.
