EDIP412 is a personal educational research subject that allows students to developing an understanding of their role as teachers in the context of the Melbourne Declaration; Australian Curriculum and the Science & Technology/Mathematics secondary classroom. Cross-Curriculum Priorities (CCP): Sustainability; Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures; and Asia and Australia’s Engagement with Asia. General Capabilities (GC): Ethical Understanding; Critical and Creative Thinking; ICT Capability; Personal and Social Capability; and Intercultural Understanding. Assessment tasks will involve a literature review of the Melbourne Declaration and subsequent Learning Across the Curriculum expectations, followed by a literature review and report that focuses on a particular CCP/GC chosen by each student.
