Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1.
Demonstrate an understanding of professional practice and how this relates to practicing as an exercise scientist within the Exercise and Sport Science Australia exercise science standards and scope of practice
2.
Apply foundational skills and competencies of an exercise scientist involved in exercise assessment, prescription and delivery
3.
Identify risks and apply appropriate risk management strategies to the professional practice of exercise science: including but not limited to client safety, confidentiality, consent and record keeping
4.
Apply a variety of suitable verbal and non-verbal communication methods when working with clients, peers and professional staff
5.
Critically reflect on feedback from a variety of sources including teaching staff, peers and self to improve professional practice
