On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

Demonstrate understanding of arts-based concepts and pedagogical benefits in the arts domains of music and movement (including dance), drama and visual arts.

Develop and demonstrate practical skills in the arts domains of music and movement (including dance), drama and visual arts.
3.
Demonstrate capacity to review, analyse, and synthesise skills and knowledge about creative arts for application in early childhood education and care contexts.
4.
Apply pedagogical content knowledge in the domains of music and movement (including dance), drama and visual arts to plan for and evaluate age and context appropriate learning experiences.
5.
Articulate theoretical and practical understandings about the active role of the early childhood teacher in facilitating children’s learning in the arts domains of music and movement (including dance), drama and visual arts.
