On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

Develop knowledge of philosophy, service and support models of family- centred early intervention services for young children and families with complex and multiple needs.
2.
Understand the importance of working with families to lead to better outcomes for children and their families.
3.
Identify young children with a broad range of additional needs that affect their learning and development.
4.
Examine the implementation of inclusive early childhood education and care practices and highlight the elements of comprehensive, coordinated and family centred services.
5.
Identify effective teaching strategies to enhance the development and inclusion of children with a range of additional needs.
