Effective technology-enhanced learning environments require careful design. In the design of these environments understanding of digital technologies, knowledge domain and how to represent content and skills to learners are required. This subject will develop students’ understanding of selecting, creating, combining and presenting digital learning resources to support and enable learning. Topics focus on how multiple media can be combined to enhance understanding, how visual design can support reduction in cognitive load, how digital resources and tools can support complex tasks, and how to support usability and accessibility. Students will have an opportunity to design technology-enhanced learning using concepts and software tools to create resources.
