Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1.
Develop and extend all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) in French with specific focus on speaking and listening skills
2.
Reach lower level B1 threshold of the CEFR, described as follows: Understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. Can deal with most situations likely to arise when travelling in an area where the language is spoken. Produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. Describe experiences, events, briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions
3.
Gain awareness of the target culture(s) where French is spoken
