Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

Critically analyse the implications of climate change on environmental health, emergence and spread of diseases, drawing upon advanced knowledge in sustainability, environmental sciences, and healthcare
2.
Formulate and support with rationales for evidence-based nursing strategies, prioritising sustainability when addressing health-related issues linked to climate change
3.
Critically appraise the health implications of climate change from a nursing perspective and proposed sustainable nursing actions
4.
Synthesis and apply an interdisciplinary and sustainable approach to complex problem-solving related to climate change and adverse health impacts
5.
Develop and implement advanced communication strategies that inform and persuade various stakeholders about health risks associated with climate change, preventive measures, and the importance of sustainable practices
6.
Exhibit leadership in designing, planning, and implementing innovative, sustainable nursing strategies to reduce adverse health outcomes related to climate change
