Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

Identify and articulate real world problems in the Earth, environmental, marine and biological sciences
2.
Develop hypotheses, experiments and research questions in the Earth, environmental, marine and biological sciences
3.
Locate, synthesise and evaluate data, information, results and literature pertaining to the Earth, environmental, marine and biological sciences
4.
Critically evaluate information and data to assess scientific methods and frameworks in the Earth, environmental, marine and biological sciences. This includes personal reflection on the evaluation process.
5.
Communicate Earth, environmental, marine and biological science perspectives and knowledge effectively to a range of audiences using appropriate technologies and communication skills
6.
Demonstrate ethical, professional, public and personal conduct and capacity to reflect on and direct own learning and practice, and participate constructively in decision-making within the context of Earth, environmental, marine and biological sciences
