In SNUG304, students will be provided the opportunity to apply and evaluate clinical skills at a technical, non-technical and cognitive level included within the program. Students will have the opportunity to critique person-centred nursing care during their workplace experience placement and consider health care reform. Critical thinking and judgement will be used to assess, plan, implementation and evaluate nursing care. Within a variety of health care settings, students will use the clinical reasoning cycle, specifically in taking action and evaluating outcomes. Critical reflection in and on practice will enable students to analyse their learning in a realistic environment and develop strategies for self-improvement.
