Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:
1.
Select an appropriate simple experimental design;
2.
Apply and interpret Exploratory Data Analysis;
3.
Explain basic concepts of hypothesis testing and estimation, including null and alternative hypotheses, type I and II errors, significance level, P-values, power, confidence limits and standard errors;
4.
Implement basic statistical procedures, both parametric and non-parametric, for single and multiple samples, using a statistical computer package, and interpret the output;
