This subject introduces the great questions that drive research in archaeology, and the methods by which we answer those questions. Learning outcomes
On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

Demonstrate knowledge on the key research topics in current archaeological research.
2.
Assess general research theories and methods and assess challenges that face archaeologists, historians and archaeological scientists in the 21st century.
3.
Identify common questions in archaeology and answer them using research, the analysis of objects, and logic.
4.
Demonstrate general academic writing, reading and research skills, including the ability to use spreadsheets.
5.
Develop and apply basic data literacy, including the ability to make tables and figures.
6.
Communicate peer feedback and reflect on academic work.
