On successful completion of this subject, students will be able to:

Identify and refine a specific research topic located in any general area of literary/textual inquiry
2.
Conduct the research needed to answer questions identified by the topic
3.
Demonstrate an awareness of where their research sits within the general area of research interest identified
4.
Through the seminar series demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the topic covered and ability to analyse associated texts at a sophisticated level
