Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Computing will develop students' foundation skills and knowledge in IT management, research, computer science and information technology. The course is nested with the Master of Computing.

Course structure

To qualify for award of the degree of Graduate Certificate in Computing, complete 24 credit points and satisfy all course requirements for the degree outlined in the course structure;

Learning outcomes

Course Learning Outcomes are statements of learning achievement that are expressed in terms of what the learner is expected to know, understand and be able to do upon completion of the course. Students graduating from this course will be able to:

Integrate specialised technical knowledge and methods in computing to produce IT solutions that meet industry standards and client and user specifications and requirements.

Research and synthesise key information, apply judgement and exercise critical thinking and evaluation to define and design research in computing.
3.
Interpret information and communicate knowledge, ideas and procedures to information technology professionals.
4.
Employ independent learning strategies to update own knowledge in the field of computing and keep pace with innovations in industry trends, techniques and standards.
