Structure

To qualify for the major in Cell and Molecular Biology major in all Bachelor of Science (SMAH) double degrees, Bachelor of Science, students are required to complete 90 credit points as specified below.
Note:
  1. Students who have achieved a mark of 65% or more in NSW HSC Chemistry or equivalent must select CHEM101 and CHEM102. All other students must select CHEM104, CHEM105.

  2. Students who have completed CHEM104 and CHEM105 and are proceeding to CHEM212 and/or CHEM241 must have obtained marks of at least 65% in both CHEM104 and CHEM105. Additional study material will be provided to bridge the knowledge gap between CHEM104/105 and the 2nd year subjects – completion of this material is recommended, although it is not compulsory. For information about the additional study materials contact the CHEM105 Subject Coordinator.
MATH151 is encouraged to be completed by students who have not completed NSW HSC Mathematics or equivalent at Band 4 or higher as an elective subjects should there be space within the double degree.
